Large Scale Product Photography for Bar A Parfums

Our recent product photography session for Bar A Parfums presented a significant logistical challenge: capturing over 70 unique perfume bottles plus variations while maintaining consistent, premium quality imagery. The brief called for clean, high-end visuals that would reflect the luxury positioning of the fragrance brand.
The technical approach centred on a dual Godox lighting setup to manage the complex reflections inherent in glass product photography. An AD200 Pro served as the key light through a softbox, while a Godox V1 firing through a scrim provided secondary fill lighting. This configuration delivered the soft, even light wrap necessary for premium glass photography while minimising problematic reflections that can compromise product clarity.
Managing quality control across such a large volume of products required efficient workflow solutions. Tethering the camera to an iPad using Sony's remote app enabled real-time frame checking and dust spotting on a larger screen, streamlining the review process before moving to each subsequent bottle. The session utilised Sony's 90mm G-Master macro lens to capture the fine details essential for luxury product imagery.
